#4 I cannot run Photo Manager on Windows Vista!!!

If you are having problems running Photo Manager in Windows Vista, please take the following steps: You must have an account with administrator privileges. If you are not sure whether you have an administrator account, open the Control Panel and click on "User Accounts and Family Safety." Select 'User Accounts ' to view your account name. Your privilege level is listed below your user account name. If you are not an administrator, click on "Change your account type" to set your account to administrator level. You may need to supply the username and password of the account in order to change the level of the account. If you do not have this information, please contact your system administrator. After you set the administrator level for your user account, an "Auto play" window may appear. If it does, click on "Run PhotoManager.exe" to start the software. In some cases, another window may appear which says, "An unidentified program wants access to your computer". The name of the program will be listed as "PhotoManager.exe". If this window appears, click on "Allow" to complete the software launch.

#5 When I connect my frame to my Windows computer using the USB cable the frame is not recognized. What can I do?

Be sure to connect the cable directly to a USB port on the computer, not to a USB hub. Try disconnecting, waiting at least 10 seconds and reconnecting to a different USB port. If another USB cable is available, such as one supplied with your digital camera, try using it instead to determine if the cable is causing the problem. If you continue to have problems, shut down your computer and unplug the electrical cord from the outlet. Disconnect the USB cable. Wait about 20 minutes before turning on the computer. When the computer is ready, connect the USB cable. This often causes the computer to recognize the frame as a new device.

#6 How can I get my pictures to be displayed in a specific order in the slide show?

Access your frame’s internal memory and rename your photos in sequence such as “001.jpeg, 002.jpeg, 003.jpeg….”. The frame will start the slideshow with the image named “001.jpeg” and will start displaying the rest of the image in the order of your sequence.

#7 Why does my picture frame “freeze” after a while during a slide show?

This is usually caused by a damaged or incompatible file on the frame’s memory or the memory card. If the slide show stops on a certain file consistently, try deleting that file. Be sure you have a backup copy before deleting any files! If this does not help, reformatting the frame’s memory or the memory card will often resolve the issue.

#8 What is the maximum picture size or resolution the frame will display?

The highest supported resolution is 12 megapixels. Photos should resize to the dimensions of the frame regardless of their actual size.

#9 How can I reformat the frame’s internal memory?

Please follow the following PDF instructions on how to accomplish this, make sure you back up any pictures you have in the internal memory before proceeding. Click here for instructions.
